Try Praying

“A prayer guide with a difference” www.thereishope.co.uk

Those who regularly pass Hathern Baptist, will have noticed a large banner on the gate, part of a nationwide initiative, encouraging people to ‘Try Praying’.

In a box alongside the banner, there are booklets which are freely available. As the authors say, this pocket-sized booklet is for anyone who is “asking questions about God and faith, or struggling and searching for answers to life.” “The booklet features real-life stories, words of wisdom, and prayers that anyone can pray.

Trypraying is a seven-day exploration of faith, which doesn’t shy away from the tough questions about suffering or unanswered prayer. . .

The booklet invites everyone to bring the ‘Big Issue’ in their life to God, perhaps to receive an answer to prayer – or to discover that there is a loving Father who is with them in their struggles.”

If you want to know more, you can also download the App from www.trypraying.co.uk or contact the Pastor, David Shepherd, on 07588 838663.

As part of this initiative, the church is open for private prayer every week, on Mondays (10am -12 noon) and Thursdays (2pm – 4pm).
